randomness of me and life

SO here I go again, posting yet another blog, with a few random pictures. Yeah i know, I'm such the photographer. NOT! haha! I've just managed to grab enough pics this weekend, and I've got a few random moments here before i need to start cleaning up my assigned spot for the week along with my part of the room. oh wait, i'm already done with the room... have been since last week, and the one before that... gosh i love having neat freak phases. =) Anywho, this first picture below is my house. Yep, it's beautiful, isn't it??? you'd better think it is. my socks got cold and wet when i went outside to take it. Mine's the lovely door in the middle, #323. don't cha just love the number? i do.

Ok.. this second picture is... uh lets see. oh my desk and Alanna's desk. go on, guess which one's mine. WRONG! haha! kidding. mine's the one on the left. Winner gets, well nothing sorry. =P Not that it's so easy to tell as they're merged together and mines was kinda messy @ the time i took the picture. I was also hungry evidently... i forgot about that box of wheat things being there. now i'm hungry! *growl! me need food!* as for all the stuff on the wall. that's Alanna's collage thing she's got going on. pictures of friends, family, Pres. Hinckely, cards from friends, and hearts from when she was heart attacked by her daughter's adoptive family. it's lots of fun trying to navigate my way through sometimes as it seems so small, but i love it all the same.

Mmk now, this picture is just, of my bed, the wall beside it and what little bit i have on my wall. As you can see at the top, i've got my lovely collage that I made and well, I've got white space around so that means i need to print out a picture or two of others in the family, and so forth and add them in. but well, that's for another weekend or something. then lets see, Alanna's bed is to the left there. her printer is @ the head of my bed, and i've got a few church pictures in that little random post thing on the wall. so yep. strangly enough, one of my favorite spots in the house is in the corner on my bed. thought i'd tell yall.

ok... picture number four. well it's just me, being silly! Saturday i got up and felt like being super pretty, so i got my hair an nails did, and put on this purdy top... ok i lied. I just did my 'choir makeup' so extra heavy mascara and then the lovely strange colored choir lipstick. it's so fun and sparkly that i couldn't resist!

Oh, random fun comment: I was able to 'chat' with adam for a moment or two this morning as I managed to email him at just the right time. well, i told him my joking idea of how I'd just, drive to Richmond as it's only 2 hours, and leave a note and cookies on his doorstep. He just replied by telling me his apartment number. My guess is he doesn't remember my cookies that well or he wouldn't have told me... haha! kidding! it was fun to talk with him though. mmmk well moving on...

So I realized most of the family didn't see me after i cut my hair and some didn't even know at all that i cut it. so uh, yeah hi, i cut it! =)

I decided that I'd put a picture up of it as well because, I can. Just don't take me as vain for putting a pic up for no major reason besides a haircut. I love having it this short. It's actually a little longer than what I first wanted, but when Stephanie cut it, i loved the length in the end. And it has grown out just the smallest bit so in another two or so weeks i'll have to get another haircut. But that's ok. =)

Sometime soon when i do my little curl thing, I'll take a new pic and post it, to show how extra short it is some days.

I just have to laugh at how many of my friends who have had hair as long as mine, or longer have cut it short just as I did. Gotta love how great minds think alike. haha!

and that's not to say I don't miss it being long. Some days I'll watch some show, or I'll see an old pic and miss how long it was. I posted one of the old ones on Facebook and Myspace from well almost a year ago that I took when I first started to do what i think of as my 'crazy curls' hair and remembered how long it was, and the fun I had with it. crazy stuff, let me tell yah.

Anywho, I got a lil reading to do. so I'll post more soon. Lots of love to yall as usual!

finally doing that 'update asap' thing

So here it is, the 26th and I'm finally putting up another post since my last one on the 8th. Definitly didn't get around to it as quickly as I figured I would. But that's ok seeing as I've been busy doing homework, unpacking, washing dishes, reading for classes, more homework, more dishes, and attempting to sleep. Insert going to classes and a couple trips to Walmart, and that seems to sum up my life for the last few weeks.
I'm loving it here in Virginia so much, from the freezing cold walk to classes in the mornings, to the snow for my birthday. Even if it is winter and mostly everything around is dead or dormant, it's still easy to see the beauty of the hills all around. Makes me excited to see how the view out my bedroom window will look come April.
Mmmmk, I'll just do a small blurb about my housemates so yall can hear a little about the awesome girls i get to live with.
Alanna: She's my actual roommate and we swear that we were destined to be roommates. She's from Anchorage, Alaska so we can talk about something up there and the other will know where its at. Too fun. Also, her parents met @ Church College Hawaii and so her mother remembers dad, David ate dinner @ her home one nite while he was up there, and then I worked with a best friend of her's this summer when I worked for Holland America. It's just too fun and can't wait to hang out more through the semester and through the summer as well!
Jade: She's from South, or was it North? uh, well she's from one of the Carolina's and she's just to flippin hilarious. We get on pretty well as she an I've got the same taste in music, movies and so forth. She had music playin on her laptop and I was like 'sweet song!' and started dancing to it and she just replied 'I'm gonna like this new girl! she's got great taste in music!' We definitly have fun and I enjoy having English with her. Makes the class a bit more bearable.
Ashley: She's just too sweet, and I find her hilarious. She's always either out with her fiancee, or he's over at our place, making dinner, watching movies or they wrestle. Some of the things she says make me laugh and other times they make me think about stuff that's important to me. and I must say I love her taste of clothes!

So that's my housemate update and I'll definitly try to keep up on here better. As soon as the camera gets here, I'll try and post a few pics of things such as my room, the evil stairs I walk up to get to campus, and other fun stuff that i'm sure yall will enjoy!

settling down for a few months

So here i am typing this out while sitting on my suitcase on the ground @ the airport in Roanoke, waiting for the shuttle. It's been 1 1/2 hours and i've still got 1 1/2 hours before the shuttle is supposed to be here, and THEN i've still got about another 1 1/2 drive before reaching what will be home to me for the next 4 months. Yay for southern virginia! I've been sitting and talking with 3 other girls and i saw my roommate, but didn't talk to her as she was being picked up by friends so, i don't think i'll get to talk to her until about, oh 11pm tonite. well, i'm gonna learn a card game called 'tossed salad' but i'll update more ASAP! LOVE TO ALL!
