new pic. =)

So I realized most of the family didn't see me after i cut my hair and some didn't even know at all that i cut it. so uh, yeah hi, i cut it! =)

I decided that I'd put a picture up of it as well because, I can. Just don't take me as vain for putting a pic up for no major reason besides a haircut. I love having it this short. It's actually a little longer than what I first wanted, but when Stephanie cut it, i loved the length in the end. And it has grown out just the smallest bit so in another two or so weeks i'll have to get another haircut. But that's ok. =)

Sometime soon when i do my little curl thing, I'll take a new pic and post it, to show how extra short it is some days.

I just have to laugh at how many of my friends who have had hair as long as mine, or longer have cut it short just as I did. Gotta love how great minds think alike. haha!

and that's not to say I don't miss it being long. Some days I'll watch some show, or I'll see an old pic and miss how long it was. I posted one of the old ones on Facebook and Myspace from well almost a year ago that I took when I first started to do what i think of as my 'crazy curls' hair and remembered how long it was, and the fun I had with it. crazy stuff, let me tell yah.

Anywho, I got a lil reading to do. so I'll post more soon. Lots of love to yall as usual!

posting the pics on here as well

The Knight Statue.

Main Hall and a little bit of Chandler Hall(on the left)

More Main Hall and Student Building (on the right). The lower part of Main Hall is the dining room where I sometimes eat. The Student Building is being worked on, as the pool is going to be filled.

Such evil stairs. At least I'm getting a great work out.

I'll be taking more pictures as time goes on, and I'll post them between classes, homework and Walmart trips. =) enjoy!

finally doing that 'update asap' thing

So here it is, the 26th and I'm finally putting up another post since my last one on the 8th. Definitly didn't get around to it as quickly as I figured I would. But that's ok seeing as I've been busy doing homework, unpacking, washing dishes, reading for classes, more homework, more dishes, and attempting to sleep. Insert going to classes and a couple trips to Walmart, and that seems to sum up my life for the last few weeks.
I'm loving it here in Virginia so much, from the freezing cold walk to classes in the mornings, to the snow for my birthday. Even if it is winter and mostly everything around is dead or dormant, it's still easy to see the beauty of the hills all around. Makes me excited to see how the view out my bedroom window will look come April.
Mmmmk, I'll just do a small blurb about my housemates so yall can hear a little about the awesome girls i get to live with.
Alanna: She's my actual roommate and we swear that we were destined to be roommates. She's from Anchorage, Alaska so we can talk about something up there and the other will know where its at. Too fun. Also, her parents met @ Church College Hawaii and so her mother remembers dad, David ate dinner @ her home one nite while he was up there, and then I worked with a best friend of her's this summer when I worked for Holland America. It's just too fun and can't wait to hang out more through the semester and through the summer as well!
Jade: She's from South, or was it North? uh, well she's from one of the Carolina's and she's just to flippin hilarious. We get on pretty well as she an I've got the same taste in music, movies and so forth. She had music playin on her laptop and I was like 'sweet song!' and started dancing to it and she just replied 'I'm gonna like this new girl! she's got great taste in music!' We definitly have fun and I enjoy having English with her. Makes the class a bit more bearable.
Ashley: She's just too sweet, and I find her hilarious. She's always either out with her fiancee, or he's over at our place, making dinner, watching movies or they wrestle. Some of the things she says make me laugh and other times they make me think about stuff that's important to me. and I must say I love her taste of clothes!

So that's my housemate update and I'll definitly try to keep up on here better. As soon as the camera gets here, I'll try and post a few pics of things such as my room, the evil stairs I walk up to get to campus, and other fun stuff that i'm sure yall will enjoy!

love everyone tons! =)

settling down for a few months

So here i am typing this out while sitting on my suitcase on the ground @ the airport in Roanoke, waiting for the shuttle. It's been 1 1/2 hours and i've still got 1 1/2 hours before the shuttle is supposed to be here, and THEN i've still got about another 1 1/2 drive before reaching what will be home to me for the next 4 months. Yay for southern virginia! I've been sitting and talking with 3 other girls and i saw my roommate, but didn't talk to her as she was being picked up by friends so, i don't think i'll get to talk to her until about, oh 11pm tonite. well, i'm gonna learn a card game called 'tossed salad' but i'll update more ASAP! LOVE TO ALL!

Migration

So here it is Thursday before Christmas and I'm getting ready to migrate again. I've decided that's what I've been doing this last little bit since graduation. It's winter and so I'm headed south for the winter, for about 2 weeks. Got to love how crazy it is living out of a suitcase for a month, only to go 'home' to 'unpack' for the 2 weeks, but be repacking the whole entire time! I definitly have a traveling bug that bit me. I'm pretty excited to get to school though, and meet my roomie, who if I understand my information correctly, is from Anchorage, Alaska. Totally hilarious and should be fun to try and remember the area.

Anyways for the remainder of my time up here I'm gonna be having lots of fun. spending more time with the girls, heather and steve. Doing one or two more cooking duty jobs, and lots more dishes. haha! Also, reading more of my Jane Austen book (I'm over half way done with Sense and Sensibility! yay!) and listening to the radio on my, can you believe it, mp3 player. (Thanks a million steve, heather n girls! mucho love and totally gonna miss yah!!!)

Of course gotta have a few minutes of ME time. Gonna have Date nite #2 with Date-e #1. haha! ok, i know that doesn't make sense to anyone 'cept the utah parts of the family who're here. What I'm babbleing on about is that I'm going out on a second date with the guy Shelly set me up with 2 weeks ago. Should be interesting, and hopefully he'll have fun being done with finals and so forth before headed home (or so i presume) for holidays with his family. so yep.

Hope yall enjoyed this is a small updation on my life. Can't wait to see everyone who's everyone coming to Cali for the 'Who-vil-ation' and parties that are gonna be jumping! ;D Lots of love!!!

.:me:.

Being Blinded

I was fortunate enough this weekend to have the chance to see the Joseph Smith movie again, take a tour of the Conferernce Center, see the lights on Temple Square, have snow falling all around, and make a new friend. All this, except the snow that is, thanks to Shelly. =D It made for an all around amazing weekend. Thought I'd just give a small update about how things are going for me.

I couldn't believe when Heather said that I've got about a week and a half left in Utah before headed back for Holiday plans, and Packing. Yes, Packing with a capital P as it's going to be a major task, I'm sure. That's what I get for spending the better part of 3 free, nothing major to do, weeks doing nothing much. Oh well, I do enjoy the thrill of a deadline. Maybe I'll be a journalist? NAW. I'm still not sure what i'm going to do with myself once it comes to making the life decision of what I'd like to do for a job. I confess, I still want to be a waitress for a little, and for some reason I can totally see myself being a Secretary/Receptionist for a while. Maybe it's because of the time I spent answering phones this summer... 'thank you for calling holland america/greyline alaska, how can i be of service to you?' I can just see myself: 'This is Mr. Marty Smiths office , please hold. thank-you.' 'Dr.-----'s office, what's your emergancy?' haha! Then again, I may not get to any of that if Heather's joking about my finding a guy to marry this semester happens. who knows? First though, lets get through Blind Date #2 Shelly's setting me up on. gotta love the R.M's =D

ok, ok, I've had my fun. I'm actually coming to a lack of strength and smarts to try and continue this post. But Much love to allllll as per usual! And can't wait to see all of you!!! love!

Fantastic Find for Myself

So I thought I'd share my little bit of excitment for the day, thought little it may be.

I took Presley to Deseret Book with me as I was doing a little gift shopping. I was finishing up and decided to take a glance at another corner of the store just to make sure the gifts I had were the perfect choice. I was glad to not find something else to have to choose between for my gift recievers, BUT I walked right into a PERFECT find for myself. All 6 Jane Austen books compiled into one bound book, for a meer $12.99! Of course I snatched it up seeing as I'm WAY behind in my Jane Austen reading, which is odd for me. So if you call and I don't answer right away, I may be reading if I'm not having fun with Katie and Presley. =)

Hope that all are having a good week. I know I have as Saturday I spent the morning playing in the snow with the girls and the neighbor kids. I'm not sure who was having more fun, the kids or myself. haha!
Love to all, and happy holidays!
